A backconnect proxy (also called a gateway proxy or rotating gateway) gives you one fixed host and port to connect to. Internally, the provider's infrastructure routes each outgoing request through a different IP from its pool. This means you never need to manage proxy lists or implement rotation logic yourself — the provider's system handles it. Backconnect proxies are the backbone of residential and mobile proxy services. The trade-off is that you have less control over which specific IP is used at any moment, though most providers offer sticky-session modes to hold the same IP for a defined period.
