Obfuscated VPN

A VPN that disguises its traffic to look like ordinary HTTPS web traffic, helping you bypass firewalls and censorship that block standard VPN connections.

Full Definition

An obfuscated VPN wraps its tunnel traffic in an additional layer of obfuscation so that deep packet inspection (DPI) systems cannot identify it as VPN traffic. Standard VPN protocols like OpenVPN and WireGuard have recognisable traffic signatures; obfuscation layers (like obfs4, Shadowsocks, or V2Ray) disguise these as ordinary HTTPS, making them indistinguishable from normal web browsing. This is critical in countries with strict internet censorship (where VPN protocols are actively blocked) and for scraping targets that block known VPN IP ranges or VPN-identified traffic.
