Browser Fingerprinting

Identifying you by combining dozens of details your browser reveals — screen size, fonts, GPU, timezone — into a signature unique enough to track you without cookies.

Full Definition

Browser fingerprinting is a tracking and bot-detection technique that collects dozens of attributes exposed by your browser — canvas rendering output, WebGL GPU details, installed fonts, screen resolution, timezone, language, audio context fingerprint, CPU core count, and more — and hashes them into a near-unique identifier. Unlike cookies, fingerprints cannot be cleared and survive private/incognito mode. Anti-bot systems use fingerprints to flag headless browsers (which produce distinctive fingerprints) and to link sessions across IP changes. Anti-detect browsers defeat fingerprinting by spoofing each attribute to match a real, plausible hardware profile.
